Mumbai, India, 23 December 2025 – Praana entered into an agreement with Arkema for the
proposed acquisition of selected plastic additives businesses, including impact modifiers and
processing aids used in the manufacture of PVC profiles, pipes, packaging, and engineering
plastics.
The proposed transaction covers Arkema’s global Methyl Methacrylate Butadiene Styrene
(MBS) copolymer activities as well as its European and Asian acrylic impact modifier and
processing aid (AIMPA) businesses, currently part of Arkema’s Coating Solutions segment. As
part of the proposed acquisition, Praana’s group company, Galata Chemicals will also take
ownership of the Vlissingen, Netherlands production facility, which employs 50 people.
Praana Group is a multinational specialty chemicals and advanced materials group with a
diversified manufacturing footprint. The Group operates specialty chemicals businesses
including Sterling Specialty Chemicals, Galata Chemicals, and Artek Surfin Chemicals,
alongside glass fiber and composite materials activities through 3B Fibreglass, serving end
markets such as construction, textiles, automotive, home and personal care, energy, and other
industrial applications. Upon completion, the acquired plastic additives businesses will form
part of Galata Chemicals, Praana Group’s specialty additives platform.
